The compliance calendar we give every new client
When a new client signs with Empress, we send three things in the first week. A client folder reference, the welcome note from our team, and a one-page compliance calendar covering the twelve months ahead. The calendar is not a marketing object. It is the working document that organises everything we do for them in the next year.
The calendar lists eight regulatory dates by default. Three are tax-related. Two are registration-related. Two are good-standing related. One is reserved for whichever industry the client operates in (commercial property, retail, healthcare, professional services — each has a small extra obligation). Each date carries a fourteen-day internal buffer.
What the page contains
Each row on the calendar has the regulator’s deadline, our internal target, the document required, who on our side is responsible, and the file path where the prepared document lives. When the file path becomes a live link, that obligation is complete for the year.
This calendar is the boring backbone of everything Empress does. It is also the single most useful thing we hand over. New clients often tell us, six months in, that they keep a printed copy by their desk. We are quietly delighted by that.
